I’m 29 and am married for three years but last year I was diagnosed with MS. Do you think that MS and sex problems are related? Anyway I think I have MS sex problems. I’m young and would like to have a real life and also would like to have a baby one day. Do you think that I could deal with MS sex problem?
Well, I’m 34 year old and am diagnosed with MS 7 years ago and I have 3 years old daughter. Of course at some moment in your life you’ll have to face with possible MS sex problems. I was very depressed for this quite some time but I am happy now for I actually still can have successful sexual life despite MS Sex Problems that occurs occasionally and are manifested in loss of sexual desire and this is due to constant fatigue, in vaginal dryness and sometimes in orgasm difficulties. Anyway there’re today many ways you can improve your sexual life (and the one most important is having a partner who could understand this) for example you may use some liquid or jellied lubricants but avoid using vaseline for it could only cause some infection. I also am taking occasionally some medicines for my muscles for I have spasm problems in my legs. I also used to go to a mental health professional for emotional problems I had regarding my condition and he actually directed me to a sexual therapist for these MS symptoms such as fatigue, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and frustration might cause sexual problems. But by the time I’ve learned how to cope with it and just accepted the fact that I’ll probably always have MS sex problems, but I have a quality relationship and now also have a child. So as you may see MS doesn’t affect your fertility and if you wish you could have a child, I was on copaxone treatment during pregnancy for it is proved that copaxone doesn’t affect either the mom or the unborned child which means there’re no special side effects besides those usual pregnancy symptoms.
