I am a 59 yrs old woman who has suffered with Migraine as well as many other strange symptoms for years. I have had different diagnoses of Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, PMS, Menopause, Depression and Arthritis. Recently, after experiencing burning and itching of hands, feet, face, and heart palpations/shortness of breath (heart disease ruled out) I was given an MRI which showed brain lesions.

The neurologist I was referred to seemed to have little time to listen to my symptoms, did a couple of quick tests (reflexes, walking, standing on one foot etc.) and announced that because of my age, I do not have MS and rather have something called Microvasculopathy. After researching both diseases, I have problems accepting his diagnosis. Aside from the fact that Microvasculopathy seems to be very rare there is little written about it and the slow progression of my symptoms over the years seems to fit more with MS. Can anyone comment? : Confused

I too had an MRI showing "plaques" in brain but spinal fluid was clear. Dr. Said I had ms, then no ms. I don't care for doctors right now. My vitamin regimen, including Omega 3, vitamin D, selenium and gingko biloba, among others, helps. I catch headaches at first sign and take bufferin, drink lots of water, get extra rest and have lowered my stress. Still signs--intense foot itching at night, vision and balance problems, headaches, arthritis (?) pain. Wish you well. 54 yr. old female
