I WAS SCARRED WHEN I READ EFFEXOR CAUSES WEIGHT GAIN I HAVE BEEN TAKING EFX , FOR A FEW MONTHS DOES ANY ONE HAve any storys of weight loss ,im on 75mg what is typical for weight gain

I have been on effexor now for about 6 months and when I started I was at 75mg and weighed about 119 and I have recently been increased to 112.5mg and my weight is around 109-110. So i would say I have not experienced any weight gain. I also take the medicine Topamax for Migraines that has the side efffect for weight loss so possibly they equal each other out of one helps the other. I am also trying to get off of effexor in the near future though. I was intially put on it for anger problems and depression.

Effexor XR can cause MASSIVE weight gain. I went from being 160 lbs to 180 lbs in a course of 4 months while being on it. I've never gained weight like that EVER. I eat healthy and drink plenty of water.
