I HAVE HAD ONE BAD WISDOM TOOTH TAKEN OUT. NOW THERE IS ANOTHER AND THEY SAID I NEEDED TO HAVE SURGICALLY REMOVED. THAT IS FINE, MY PROBLEM IS THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE TO BREAK MY JAW. WHY?[/enc]

I had all 4 wisdom teeth surgically removed. They do not break your jaw it is dislocated for the procedure. I also queried this (after my surgery) because no one mentioned it before the surgery (I would probably have also been freaked) - I was therefore none the wiser. I was told that this makes it easier for them to get to the back of your mouth to do the extractions. Your jaw is then popped back into position when finished. Good Luck.
