Right now we are just friends. I want to know what I'm walking into if it gets serious. He has Cerebral Palsy and is in a wheel chair. He takes care of himself for the most part though. I'm not sure how fulfilling and practicle it would be for either of us but we both want to be married and have kids. I'm not concerned about ,"taboos,"I just want to know if we will be able to have a reasonably normal marriage. I don't need encouragement, or opinions, I want facts. Thanks.
Just as a suggestion, why don't you look into some type of support group and think about attending some meetings? You could go alone or together, whatever you feel most comfortable with. I am suggesting this because I would think that the chances would be pretty good that you would be able to meet other couples and could talk to them about things which may concern you, and ask questions, etc. A good place to start might be to contact one of the many Cerebral Palsy support groups that are out there who are ready and willing to help you out.
