I cannot say that I don’t believe in the psycho therapies and therapists, but somehow I still think that meds might show the biggest effect in treating behavior disorders including borderline type too. I just hope that those meds are not something too “heavy” for the patient; I know that the side effects might be a real problem.
I think that each BPD patient is a different case and there is no pattern which can be used while dealing with this condition. I guess that is why there are so many therapies and possible solutions for this problem. As for the medications, antidepressants are used, so called SSRI and antipsychotics too. But the therapies today usually combine both psycho therapy and use of medications.
