I have been experiencing extreme tingling sensitivity of the breasts and vaginal area. I am 53 and my doctor told me that tests show my thyroid level is still "slightly" elevated, so I am not yet completely in menopause. I am newly remarried and had unprotected sex once this last month. Does one get these sensations when they enter menopause due to hormones, or have I crossed the line into pregnancy at this late date?

The easiest way to find out is to get tested for pregnancy.

Also, in perimenopause, the hormonal levels won't show decrease on tests but you could feel all the symptoms just like you've reached menopause.
