I have a problem! I am 19 years old and have irregular period well actualy I have not had a period for more than a year. This started sience I begin to have a menstration, at first I would get it 2 or 3 months and than just twice a year but now I have not had one for more than a year. Every now and than I get what it feels like cramps, pain in my lower back, and bad acne. I feel that something is wrong with me, but I went to the Doctor and he only suggested to take birth control pills. Can you tell me why I have this problem and if I am going to be able to get pregnant. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

It is possible that you can get pregnant, you may need medicine to help you ovulate and have a period but it is possible.

There are women who do not have periods for YEARS, and then get pregnant, an OOOPS.. I work for planned Parenthood and abortion clinics, and some women say they do not taek birth cotnrol because they thought they could never get pregnant.

It is possible for you to get pregnant to a point where I would'nt say YES have unprotected sex.

BUT when you do want to have a baby there are special meds you can take!

The birth control pill may regulate your cycle a bit. If you want to have children there are medications out there to force ovulation, I wouldn't assume that you are infertile because of your irregular period
