i recently had a micro discectomy and it was extrememly hard to have a bowel movement. after a few days i was finally able to pass stool, but only after about an hour of heavy straining.. it was very painful and very hard to pass because it was hard and large even tough i had been takign stool softners and laxatives. After going to the bathroom i noticed that i started getting tingling sensations down the back of my leg.. i was hoping that it was just post op nerve tinglings.. but now i have a pain in the top part of my leg/ bottom of buttox that feels exactly like the pains i was having pre op. Is it possible to reherniate a disc from straining to stool?
