Micro surgery for Spinal Stenosis

I am suffering from spinal stenosis. The problem is that therapy did nothing for me, nor did two steroid epidurals, which help some people. I was told that microsurgery will do the trick. I was wondering if anyone who had microsurgery for stenosis would share experience with me. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I had microsurgery for spinal stenosis at the begging of the year. After 7 months my back pain is still there plus I now have nerve pain down my right leg which I didn’t have before. It seems that the L4 nerve root was stuck to the vertebrae and had to be peeled off resulting in nerve damage. According to my surgeon, he would "open things up and I'd be good the rest of my life". So I have to tell you, if I had it to do over again, I would not have microsurgery.
