Three weeks ago, I had the most awful headache I have ever had.
I often suffer from headaches, but this was unbelievable.
I didn’t know what to do.
I drank some aspirins but my headaches stayed the same.
I understood immediately that this is no “ordinary” headache and I immediately went to doctor.
First diagnosis was meningitis.
I got some medications for it and I used them ‘till my next headache.
Then I went to another neurologist and he said that I don’t suffer from meningitis, but that this is Migrane. He also said that there is no cure for this condition. I can't believe this could be true?
Any advice or information you could give me about this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I’m afraid your doctor has right. There is no cure for it because there is no known cause of it.
Migrane is still a condition that is poorly understood.
The fact is that during your headache attack blood vessels in your brain dilatate.
When blood vessels dilatate they are pressing surrounding nerves and it is believed that causes headache.
Attacks may be triggered by tension, fatigue, certain medications, alcohol and certain foods.
As your doctor said-there is no real cure for it but there are some medications that, if taken early, can prevent attack.
Such medications are Paramax, Migramax, Domperamol.
Alternatively, these antisickness medications can be taken with the painkillers such as paracetamol or aspirin.
