I had pain in my body for few weeks and when I just could not stand it any more I went to the doctor. He did not know what to do first, because I was health all the time, without even flu. At the end, he told me I have fibromyalgia, which I did not understand at all. He gave me some strong medications for that, but that was not work for me, I also got migraine. Then, one friend of mine told me his uncle had the same symptoms. Now I am worried, because his uncle has lupus, so I want to know if that is possible to misdiagnose something like that.

My case was similar to yours, but when my first doctor told me I had fibromyalgia, he put me on 24-100 mg of Motrin. Off course, I was trying never to take that much every day. After some time I had to tell him it just was not working. Since he did not seemed to have a clue, I ask him to refer me to someone else. Then he sent me to my rheumatologist, and then I was told I had lupus. After while, I was told recently that I have both lupus and fibromyalgia. I am not sure how that works because I thought lupus affected all of the body. I was only 40 years old when I was told I had lupus; it seems our age has nothing to do with our body. I am so tired of people telling me that I was too young to have these problems, because obviously I am not. Beside all these problems we feel, it is hard to be worried if there is something Misdiagnosed again.
