Missed 3 white pills, now I have bleeding...

I am 27 years old, I have been on birth control for 13 months. I missed 3 white pills in a row, wed, thur, fri. I had sex on wed and fri. It is now sat and I got a brown discharge eailer and now bleeding. My period just ended 5 days ago. I have never had spotting before. Could anyone tell me what this could be?

It's definitely possible that missing the pill for 3 days would cause the irregular bleeding. Did you use a condom on wed and fri? If you didn't it's possible that you're pregnant and that the discharge/bleeding is implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding lasts for about 1 to 3 days and starts as a dark brown color and usually fades into a light color but it's light, not like a period.
