Almost all medicines alter the body’s chemistry and have some negative effects on the body. Imagine what negative effects fake drugs can have.

The incidence of fake medicines is raising on the markets and health experts are trying to find ways to stop this illegal production and distribution.
It has been found that some of these fake drugs contain even poisonous substances that are not fit for human use at all.

They bring a lot of profit to all parties involved and the sale of these medicines could reach the number of $US75 billion by the end of 2010.

Experts believe that this kind of business should be treated as narcotics smuggling and special units have been formed to deal with this kind of illegal activities.

There have been reports of children’s’ deaths following intake of fake medicines and unwanted pregnancies from using birth control pills made of flour.

It is certain that special efforts should be made in stopping these illegal activities that are impairing human’s health and making billions of dollars on it.

The experts are working with different technologies for product tracking but innovation solutions are also needed.
