Hi there everyone. My other half has been diganosed with lupus but they have now changed it to MCTD. I am worried as his hands turn purple and white, he has a lot of headaches. Now that the cooler weather is here his condition seems to worsen. He has night swets bad to the point I have to change the bedding often. We think it is a reaction to the medication. If any one out there has any good info I am interested in helping him deal with this condition that seems to worsen in the winter months.
The discoloration in his hands is caled Reynauds syndrome and is associated with systemic lupus among other things.Headaches are also common with systemic lupus. There are many good books out that deal with systemic lupus and other connective tissue diseases, you can also do a web search for systemic lupus erythmetosis or SLE or for connective tissue disease.Try webMD
