My 15 year old son has pale almost white lips

Any time my son is outside playing, or sitting in the sun he will come in and his lips are pale white. This does not seem normal to me because he is a healthy young man who is into all kinds of sports/ This has been happening for quit some time and I am really worried.
Do you have any idea what this could be?
