My 2 year old son has diarrhea when he eats pasta

My 2 year old son has a dairy and egg allergy. Recently I've noticed that when he eats pasta he has diarrhea, at first I thought that the pasta must have egg in or it could of been the garlic in the sauce. Today he has eaten durum wheat pasta with no egg in the ingredients with chopped tomatoes with no garlic and tonight he has diarrhea.

He eats plenty of rice, and white bread, weetabix and shreddies and is fine with them.

Could this be an intollerance to pasta or is it something else?
