My abnormal menstrual cycle.

Every month my menstrual cycle last for 9 long days and i bleed very heavy from day 1 to day 9.On the 1st day it just comes right on and i don't ever have any spotting and also on the 9th day it goes right off with no spotting.I also get extremely tired and sluggish,i would like to know why is this happening and is this normal?
