|
|
Hi. I am 24 years old. My clitoris is swollen and painful for two days now. I constantly have an urge to pee (it`s not painful, so I guess I don`t have some kind of a UTI). My doc told me there is nothing wrong with me, but my clitoris still hurts. Sometimes, it`s itchy. Anybody?

Hi. The cause of your problem could be depression and anxiety, if nothing else is bothering you. Maybe you should go for a second opinion? You have an itch, so maybe it could be some kind of allergic reaction? The skin in genital area is very sensitive, maybe you are allergic on colored or scented toilet paper, softeners, bathing lotion? Hormonal changes can make your clitoris enlarge.

| I have had the same issue and it ended up being an abscess in the hood of the clitoris. I ended up in the ER where they drained it. You should get it checked out ASAP. Mine has recurred and I have an appt. |

| HELP!!! I have the same exact thing. My clitoris became very swollen then it actually burst and I drained (pinched) everything out. Yes gross and VERY painful. Then it looked like it was healing and now about a week later I have the same problem. I have another appointment with my OBGYN....but I am curious what your doctor said? |

| I believe i just had this issue, it just broke a few minutes ago, while i was reading this forum. I put warm compresses on it for a few evenings, left it alone for 2 nights then put ice compresses on it for a few more nights, and then it popped. the ice compresses really help numb it and relieve some of the pain, you might need to do some more compresses than me because i have a high pain tolerance level and suffered through most of this w/o anything..but make sure you go to the doctors just in case. |

My issue was on the inner labia lip, but now I have something similar on my Tail bone area. I believe they are Sebaceous Cysts. A Sebaceous Cyst is "a closed sac occurring just under the skin which contains a "pasty" or "cheesy" looking substance. A foul odor is also often present in the substance called keratin which fills sebaceous cysts. Keratin is a protein that creates the sac of cells called sebaceous cysts. The bumps or lumps you can feel under your skin are actually the sac of cells."- from womenshealth.about.com/cs/dermatology/a/sebaceouscyst.htm
P.S.-they can also get blood in them.
These cysts can form anywhere on the body, but it is usually on the face/neck/torso area.
Other helpful pages are:

mayoclinic.com/health/sebaceous-cysts/DS00979

Hope this works for you guys. |
