Hello, I am worried that my daughter might be autistic. She turned 2 year this month and she hasn’t started speaking yet. She does make noise and she seems happy in general but we are extremely confused. Should we go for further evaluation by speech therapists and doctors about autism?
I doubt that she is autistic; I believe that only her speech is a little bit delayed. Same thing happen with my little cousin. Children vary a great deal in when they will start speaking. Some of the activities that can be done by parents reading out stories, having her look at picture books in which she can identify animals and birds and everyday objects, singing songs to her and with her, playing a cassette of children's songs etc. Anyway if nothing works take her to specialist.
