| I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis last week and I have to admit that I am a bit nervous because I will have to deal with this condition until the rest of my life. My doctor prescribed me Arava. Well, I guess it is better to take pills than to feel morning stiffness and joint pain. So, is there anything I should know about this medicament? |

| Well, you have already said the most important effect. It will help you by relieving of your symptoms. Its mechanism is based on inhibiting certain enzymes in your body that cause abnormal growth of tissue. As for side effects, well, there are several of those, including back pain, coughing, dizziness, nausea, infections of urinary tract etc. |
