My friend said her epidural hurt? How come?

I’m pregnant and soon I need to choose will I take epidural or not. I’m in seven months now and I asked many women for advice. I decided to take it because I’m afraid of pain very much. But My friend said her epidural hurt? How come? Does anybody know something about it?

When labor begins the only thing on your mind besides the pain is how to get rid of it. And epidural is the best solution. I can tell you that I'm terrified of needles but when contractions started I didn’t feel anything while they injected me epidural. So, don’t worry about it.
