Hi. My kids have problems with bedtime. My son is 8, and my daughter is six years old. They can`t fall asleep for hours. It takes ages to wake them up for school. What to do? How much sleep school-aged kids need?
Hi. Kids in that age need 9-12 hours of sleep (at night). Every child is different and has its` own bedtime. They must have a sleeping schedule. Send them to bed in certain time and tell them it is good for their health. If you let them stay up late, you won`t do them a favor. You will make a problem. Make some sort of a bed time ritual. Read them a story before bed. Give them a glass of warm milk or tea. Keep the room dark.
