I seem to be having this same problem as well, noticed it more recently as I have taken up running. Also, it feels like there might even be pressure pulling up on my left testicle. Just the other day I literally reached into my shorts as soon as I finished 3 miles and was feeling my testicle to make sure it doesn't go into my gut. The only new information that could be connected with this was a diagnosis called "vericocele". Hope someone has more info as I will be back for an answer.
Best Wishes to all.

| You're all silly, it's just your penis / testicles natural reaction to intense muscle workouts. And to a lesser extent the wind blowing on genitals makes them cold from the sweat, (sometimes) and that also doesn't help. It's not permanent, and no you can't break it. Heck, i'm 16 and even I know this. People and their bloody penis envy. Get over it. |

Yep, I agree.
I'm studying medicine, and the penis and scrotum retract during exercise/when exposed to cold temperatures. Its a normal 'reflex' reaction. Its normal. Nothing to worry about. Happens to me and i'm sure happens to almost everyone. |

| Oh my God guys I totally had this experience today. I just joined a gym and this was my first time showering there, I had just done some cardio, and figured i would have some shrinkage (I'm pretty small to begin with but was ok with being the smallest guy in the locker room). This however was another level of small. My penis was so small and thin it looked like a newborn baby's and my testicles shrunk up into my body like I had just jumped into cold water. It was so freaking embarrassing. Not that anyone was going to say anything but I did get some strange looks. Man did I feel like a child amongst men. I know that it was just my exercise combined with the anxiety of a new situation....but damn I hope I can make a better showing next time I shower there, or people are going to start to talk behind my back. |

Yes, this is exactly my situation and how I feel. I was seriously overweight through my childhood and getting naked in front of people wasn't something I wanted to do. I would be called the obvious names etc. I think this makes me anxious in the locker room when getting changed despite the fact I'm now 29! I sweat ALOT and so my body is cold to touch. so that can't help. I have very white skin and after hard exercise it seems all my blood ends up in my face! I can have a red face for an hour after. I've had this problem as long as I can remember. Sometimes it's so bad that I try to get the blood flowing to my penis in the toilet, before getting in the shower. I've spoken to ex partners who tell me all is fine when erect, which is when it counts, but it doesnt make me feel any better at the gym. |

Hey, just wanted to report in.
After seeing the doctor about my problem, and about 6 months of rest, I am proud to report that I made it back to the gym this week, and have been doing fine with no irregular shrinkage.
I have yet to test out my resistance to running in the cold, but in a heated gym everything is fine, and I have been exercising more than ever now. I highly reccomend you see a doctor with your problems, everything worked out fine for me, and Im looking at making up for missed time. |

| I was relieve to see someone else with this problem. I think perhaps it is because I just started working out substantially more than I used to. Today made me nearly panic, but the workout was intense. I'm going to see the doc for another issue and I'll ask him and post some info, if appopriate. |
