I went to the gynocologyst a little over two weeks ago and she did a pap and prescribed me birth control, nuvaring. I had used nuvaring in the past and experience no strange side effects. Two days after my visit, I started my period and inserted the ring on the first day as directed. I experienced spotting for a couple of days and then my period became a normal flow, but it was very dark brown for about a week. Then it changed to red, but it had a lot of what I would call clotting...and it hasn't stopped. This is actually day 15. I removed the nuvaring yesterday, but the bleeding hasn't slowed at all. I have read things online that suggest that I may have had a miscarrage, but I would think that the gynocologyst would have noticed that. I am really scared because I do not want to risk not being able to have children one day.
