In december my 6 ear old son suffered a really bad bout of gastroenteritis which lasted almost 2 weeks. He suffered vomiting but mainly profuse diarrohea(this is probably not how you spell it). since then he gets really worried if he has the slightest bit of tummy ache, and goes to the toilet to pass a motion between 2 and 6 times a day. When he does go his stools are sometimes normal, sometimes a little loose and other times very loose. I'm worried that the gastroenteritis has had some kind of lasting effect, although reading up on it, it would appear that there should be no lasting effects, and if this is the case, why is my son going to the loo so much. Is he stressing about going to the loo which is affecting his tummy? I don't know what to do as he's not ill, but i feel things are not right.
