Hello, folks. My son is 6 years old and he has Down syndrome. However, lately he has been developing serious heart problems. I would really like to know what the solution for this problem would be. I would really appreciate if anyone could help me. Thank you for helping. Bye, guys!

Hello. Heart complications can follow Down syndrome. Usually, those are defects on the heart’s septum. It is the wall that divides heart in left and right part. Those are atrial septal defect and ventricular septal defect. Operation might be needed. You should consult with a pediatric cardiologist. He will suggest the best treatment option. I hope everything will be all right. Sorry I don’t have more information.
