Getting straight to the point without writing the terrible ordeal I been through before I decided to go for a Gastroscopy.
I was diagnosed to be infected with H.Pylori a few months ago through gastroscopy test.
The doctor suggest a triple therapy for me. I thought this will cure my stomach discomfort for good.
The triple therapy is strange to me. After 1 week of therapy, I still feel the discomfort. I consulted the doctor again. He suggested another 2 weeks of therapy. Thus, I accepted as perhap the bacteria was indeed tough to be eradicated. When the 2 weeks were up, I still don't feel good. The doctor suggest I go for an ultrasound scan and another week of therapy. I started to doubt whether my doctor know how to cure me or not.
Finally decided to see a specialist and told him all my problems and what I have been through. The specialist suggested just take omeprazole. And you know what it works. It seem that the antibiotics from the triple therapy are causing the discomfort after all. I feel perfectly fine by just taking the omeprazole
I was scheduled to go for a urea breath test. I stopped a week of omeprazole before the test. During that week, I still feel good. Soon, I took the test but the results were not known until my next appointment with my specialist.
But suddenly, the same discomfort come back the very next day of the test. I was so shocked. What have I done to be sufferring again. Even taking omeprazole now cannot relieve me from the discomfort.
I was wondering has H.Pylori struck me again. If is it so, doesn't that mean i going to take another 2 or 3 weeks of antibiotics. Oh God, this is really affecting my quality of Life.
Can anyone tell me will I be fine?? Is there any cure for H.Pylori?? |
