Hi, I'm 21 years old, I'm sexually active and I have a problem about my testicles. Lately I have noticed a dull pain in them while ejaculating and sometimes even when urinating. When I sensed that there was something wrong I tried to examine my testicles with my hand and discovered that they hurt in the back end. When I ejaculate there is a little blood in the sperm. I'm very scared about this whole thing, does anybody know what is this disease that I have and how can it be treated?

There can be many causes of testicular pain and discomfort. If you are sexually active then it is possible that you have got some kind of a sexually transmitted disease, especially if you have had unprotected sex in the near past. If you are experiencing pain during ejaculation and urination, your testes, urethra, epididymis, or even prostate can be inflamed. The cause of the inflammation are most likely some kind of a bacteria that you have contacted either by practicing unsafe sex or by bad hygiene. I think that epididymitis is the most probable cause of your pain, since you say that the pain originates in the back end of your testicle, where your epididymis lies. Epididymitis as any other bacterial infection is easily treated with antibiotic therapy. There is also a possibility that you may have testicular cancer, in that case you should try to feel a bump on the surface of your testicles. In any case you should immediately go and have an appointment with your doctor and let him examine you and give you proper care and advice about this problem.

I'm a doctor, and I had a similiar problem with my testicals. I had to go to a testicular doctor, and he told me that they needed to be removed. I did nothing for 3 whole months, and the pain got worse especially behind the testicals. After those 3 long months, I had tp have a major surgery on them. It resulted in excessive amounts of pain. A few months later, I had to have them both completely removed. NO MORE FUN FOR ME UNFORTUNATELY! I am thankful for my two daughters I had before I had this problem. I just want to add, I had never had any unsafe sex before my marriage. Enjoy your testicals while you can.
