My wife vomits mucous every morning

When my wife wakes up in the morning she usually starts to and then she vomits mucous. Not a deep cough and usually it's just a clear mucus type of substance. She doesn't have health insurance and it really worries me. It is been almost a week since it started, any ideas what could cause it?

It could be sinus drainage down the back of her throat causing her to be like this in the morning. I had problems with sinuses for along time. Anyway since she vomits every morning she needs to be seen by a doctor soon. Tons of stuff could be wrong and I don’t think that sinus could make her vomits mucus every morning. She may not have insurance but she can't afford to keep putting her health at risk.
