Hey,
There are some changes in life needed, if your grandfather wants to feel better- he must eat fresh vegetable and fruits. Cherries are very effective in preventing gout. At least 1 pound cherries daily. Besides, he has to drink plenty water and eliminate consumption of meat and fried food. If he is overweight, he must reduce some weight. There are also some herbs known to reduce goat. For example devil’s claw and celery. Devil’s claw reduces inflammation and relieves pain, while celery helps reduce acid build up in joints.
I really hope I helped a little.

We represent "Unauthorized Ad", an on-line company supplying customized vitamin supplements to the USA. We hope this information may be of interest to you.

Gout is a form of arthritis that occurs when crystals of uric acid accumulate in a joint, leading to the sudden development of pain and inflammation. People with gout either over-produce uric acid or are less efficient than other people at eliminating it. The joint of the big toe is the most common site to accumulate uric acid crystals, although other joints may be affected.

Dr Balch's nutritional team has created a formula for gout that contains ingredients that assist with the reduction of uric acid in the body. Components with strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties are also included. Vitamins C can help uric acid to free itself from the tissues and be excreted in the urine. Nettle is a diuretic that helps to clear out excess liquid and uric acid. Quercetin is a bioflavonoid which possesses beneficial antioxidant qualities. Blueberry has the highest antioxidant activity compared with over 40 other commercially available fruits and vegetables. Flaxseed contains essential fatty acids which reduce inflammation. Bromelain helps protein digestion and has shown anti-inflammatory effects.

Dr. Balch works with "Unauthorized Ad" to provide custom-made natural remedies for anyone who wants an all-in-one daily supplement that addresses all their health concerns, as well as providing the vitamins and minerals needed for optimum health and wellness.

If you are concerned or unsure about your symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider for professional medical advice.

I have gout and tried cherries and other food items, but no luck. I've been on a Gout homopathic medication for 2 months and it works for me. It is GOUT - BLF from Health Center for Better Living. A bottle of 100 capsules cost about $18 and you they may have buy one and get one free. They can be reached on the net or 1-800-544-4225.

Here are a few home remedies for gout.

* Eat fresh cherries and drink cherry juice daily.
* Bananas is another gout treatment, eat daily but don't over do so you won't get constipated.
* Drink a lot of water.
* Drink peppermint tea a few times a day.
* Eat strawberries.
* To reduce the pain from the gout, apply ice on the painful area.
* Eat apples to treat gout.
