a couple days ago I found a prescription for valtrax in my boyfriends belongings. we have been together for over two years. the prescription was his old girlfriends. I'm worrying because a)he said she was tested for herpes because she broke out into sores(oozing) but lied about having herpes. He dated her for several months after this incident. Should I be worried that I have come into contact with herpes? I have never had an outbreak of sores but I read that some people have headaches, upset stomache etc. instead of a full outbreak.

Actually people have stomach upset and flu like symptoms ON THEIR first outbreak, the first is always the worst.

Hello, I am Cari, I have genital Herpes. contracted it from my fiance', which I am not upset about. I take daily suppressive therpay so I will not outbreak.

If you did contract herpes you would certainly KNOW, the lesions are painful and it is awful the first time around hoenstly... Unless you start taking meds pretty quickly to stop the outbreak..
