Hi all. Lately I’ve been urinating much much more than I’m used to and it is really a problem for me. I think I have to go to pee almost every hour or so and even when I pee I still feel I have “more to give”. I have no pain when I urinate and also I pee a pretty good amount each time. This happened to me before and lasted several weeks but it stopped. Unfortunately, it has just recently come back again and I really don’t know what to do about it. Please help.

Hi. From the symptoms you’ve described I think you have a condition known as polyuria. Polyuria is the release of abnormally large amounts of urine, for an adult, at least 2.5 l per day. It is a fairly common symptom and it is often noticed when it occurs at night. Unfortunately, there are many causes and from what you’ve wrote I really can’t determine the one you have. The most common causes are too much fluid intake (especially those containing caffeine or alcohol), diabetes, renal failure, drug use, too much salt or glucose, sickle cell anemia… I thing the best thing for you to do is to have it checked by a doc. He should be able to determine right cause and treatment for it. Good luck.

| okay the same thing happens to me .... besides me peeing every hour , closley to my period i will pee and it feels like i wasnt done n if i try to push more out onli 2 little drops come out and it doesnt hurt but itsz jusz very irratating , i have to wait about 15 minutes for the annoyingness of me having to pee go away .. this comes and goes every month and if im lucky it never happens within that month what can this be and should i be worried ? |
