I have been a little concerned lately that I may be pregnant. - Mind you, I am 20 and I have thought about how much this could drastically change my life, but hey I'm talented and I know my family will be well off. Also, I don't believe in abortion and just couldn't see myself giving away my miracle that god gave me.
I've been getting my period normal which is odd since I'm usually irregular..but whenever my boyfriend and I have sex, we never use protection. Yeah its a horrible thing and duh we're open to the idea of getting pregnant, yaddda yadda...well my period last month was late 5 days, and had a different pattern of bleeding. At first it was light, then heavy, then nothing, then heavy, then light, then whatever...It just wasnt the same. After my period my breasts have been extremely swollen and tender, like to the point where I don't want anyone get near them.
Other symptoms, I can't sleep. Not until atleast 5:30 am. I have nausea, I've gained 13 pounds in 3 weeks, my nipples are leaking something, my nails are stronger, and last but not least, I'm crazy...like the moodiest I've ever been. (which really sucks I feel like I hurt my friends sometimes because of it.)
I've already taken a pregnancy test at a clinic, the test was much different than the ones I'm used to. It had three little windows, one window was for you to drop your pee in, the next was supposed to turn pink if you're pregnant or stay white if you weren't, and the last window was for a pink line. My test had turned pink then slowly faded, with just a light shade of pink. The lady that was helping me told me to come back and test in two weeks because the test was inconclusive. She really confused me though because she handed me a bottle of prenatal vitamins, a pamhplet about pregnancy week by week and also one about marriage. She told me to treat my body as if I am pregnant and to watch what I take in. Good thing I've actually been doing that for a couple months now. (This whole college party scene crap...I don't dig it and I def. don't miss it.) I'm just looking for something or someone to tell me how they feel....maybe I should get a blood test? Maybe I should take another crappy pregnancy test that will just come out with question marks written all over it?! |

If you're confused by the first test, get another one from a drug store. I think those would make more sense to you.
You could also go in to the doctor and they could test you instead. That way if you are, you could already be talked to about pregnancy, and if you aren't, you can ask about your symptoms. |
