Hi. I am a diabetic and I have a nerve problem. Doctor told me I have diabetic neuropathy. The nerves of my feet are affected by it. My feet hurt. What to do? What causes diabetic neuropathy?
Hi. I have diabetes too, and I have to check my feet every day. After washing, I cover them with petroleum jelly before putting on socks, and I always wear soft socks and comfortable shoes. I never walk barefoot. My feet are cold and I wear socks even when I sleep. The cause of your problem could be high blood sugar, or inherited factors. Treatment may include pain meds, topical creams, relaxation and biofeedback training, acupuncture, and even hypnosis.
