Nerve and muscle pain along with swelling post cervical laminectomy

Nine months ago a cervical trauma was sustained by falling backwards on the hard ground. Subsequently, a cervical laminectomy was performed on C2,3,4 and 5 and osteophytes were removed from the spinal cord. Since that time, pain, intermittant numbness and tingling has been felt on both arms, hands and fingers. An MRI has been performed and there is no physical evidence of any compression on the nerves. I also observed that my fingers become swollen when the hand/arm symptoms occur. Please advise what this condition may be. Is there a muscle/nerve condition? Thank you for your consideration.

you should go to the controlyourpain.com website. it sounds like a nerve problem and a spinal cord stimulator may help.
