Something very unusual has happened to me last weekend. I went to a diner with the guy I met at work. Everything was fine until the end of the diner. Then he had got up to help me put on my jacket. Suddenly he has fainted. When he has recovered he explains me that he is suffering from neurocardiogenic syncope. Can you tell me what is it and what cause it?

Neurocardiogenic syncope is very common cause of fainting. The blood flow in the brain is temporary insufficient and the person passed out. After the attack person is usually nauseated, pale and sweaty for a few minutes. The causes may be stress, emotional pain, overheating, dehydration, heavy sweating or exhaustion etc. It is not dangerous unless it is happening often. He must be embarrassed a lot. Give him another chance.
