Mars Inc. is planning on developing dark-chocolate versions of its M&M's, Snickers and Milky Way candies and made them “healthy”, and that way take off the blame of those who shouldn’t be eating them. New chocolates will be made with flavanols, which is said to help reduce blood pressure and lower cholesterol. The new chocolate is named CocoaVia and is rich in flavanols, an antioxidant found in cocoa beans that is thought to have a blood-thinning effect similar to aspirin.

Besides the chocolate, Mars Inc. will launch snacks that will cost a bit more but are enriched with vitamins and injected with cholesterol-lowering plant sterols from soy.

By putting two No. Ones together, Chocolate- No.1 flavor ingredient and heart health- No.1 concern, Mars Inc. believes to reach no.1 place on the markets.

However, dark flavanols chocolate will certainly not replace the importance of the tofu, yogurt and granola. It won’t be even called good health but will certainly be less harmful that the ordinary chocolate made before.

Nutritionist report it can be safe to it this chocolate but there’s a limit to everything, so they recommend moderation.
