Some guys in my gym were talking about nicotine. I only heard the small part of conversation, but even that was interesting for me. They said that small amounts of nicotine (but not as cigarettes) can cause heat production and increase anti-catabolic process in our body. I this really true and is it safe?

Some scientists discovered and tested affects of nicotine in our body. Nicotine is rally anti-catabolic (since you use this term, I suppose that you know what this mean) and increase the production of heat. This affect is possible because of some burning process in our body. Whether or not is this healthy I think that you must ask your doctor.
