No bowl movements for 7 days + mucus/pus on first day?

I haven't had a bowl movement in 7 days. The first evening I thought I had to but when I went to the bathroom all that came out was pus or white mucus stuff and a good bit of it. I haven't felt the need to have a BM since then and I am in no pain. But I normally suffer from IBS and normally spicy foods set me off. Well I've been eating spicy foods on purpose and havent had any result. I've been drinking apple juice and eating apples and eating a ton of oat meal and still no result. I've also been taking stool softeners for 4 days (2 a day for the last 2 days) and still no result. I have made an apt but just wanting a second opinion in case...
What could be wrong? I am able to pass gas and actually have the need to do that often. I only mentioned it because when I was pregnant a year ago that was a big deal if I could do that even without having a bm (after my c-section) then they would let me go home.

Please help I am very worried!

Laura,

Your symptoms sound serious, hopefully you've seen a doctor already?
A GI specialist is necessary..
I'm experiencing some of my own BM issues that I gotta get checked out.
