You may be suffering from pudendal nerve entrapment or some kind of damage. I have been looking at this topic when my girlfriend had shooting pains in the vaginal, anal and perianal area. My search led me to pudendal nerve entrapment. Pains are not the only symptoms of this disorder. A person suffering from it could experience stabbing pains, burning, pin pricking, numbness, twisting, cold sensations, pulling sensations, etc in thw whole pelvic region. Pudendal nerve is a nerve that gives sensations to the pelvic floor, to all external genitals but to internal as well like the urethra, or sphincter muscles.
The damage to the nerve could be inflammatory or mechanical. The problem is that not so many doctors are able to diagnose this disorder and often contribute it to stress and mental health.
Even if someone suspects pudendal nerve entrapment, they would have to rule out many other disorders like tumors of the CNS, skin diseases, etc
If your symptoms don’t go away soon, you better have them checked. |
