Hi, I have numbness in my hand if I keep it in one position for some time. Even when I wake up in the morning I feel numbness in arms. What is the cause of numbness?
Numbness is not rare symptom and it can be considered a part of disorder of nerves (neuropathy). It seems that by you, only arms are affected. Are you doing some manual work, which requires constant use of hands? Because overuse can be related to nerves disorders. Carpal tunnel syndrome [CTS] is a condition characterized by the nerves of the hands being compressed at the wrist. The real cause lies in inflammation or edema of the surrounding structures along with the nerves in the wrist. The disorder is often seen in professions like computer keyboard work, musical instruments, craftwork.
