Hi, I have a problem with my father. He is 46 years old, and he is making all of us crazy! He is obsessed with cleaning. He was never like that, and I don’t know what happened to him. Is there anyone beside my father who is obsessed by cleaning?

Hi, my wife always liked to keep the house clean, but in the last few months, she really started to exaggerate! She is obsessed with cleaning, and it can be really irritating. Sometimes, I notice that she follows me and cleans behind me. I know she has some mental issues, but it is still unpleasant when your wife thinks you leave dirt behind you. She was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder, but she refuses to believe that something is wrong with her. She doesn’t even want to try a therapy. Her obsessivness with cleaning is only getting worse, and I have to find a way to convince her to make a first step, and admit that she has a problem. There are behavioral and cognitive therapy, and I heard they really work. Your father should try it too.
