Occaisonal dicolored semen and vaginal smell

Every now and then, my companion will have an almost bright yellow color to his semen. I don't notice it until it starts to expel from me after intercourse. When this happens it emits a foulish odor, almost fishy. I've been to the gyno (within the last 2 months) and have no STD's, bacteria infections or any underlying conditions. He has said that when he waits a long period of time between ejaculate this happens to his semen. Not long ago, he had what appeared to be a groin pull along with tenderness in his testicles. He said he felt a kind of pulling sensation when he ejaculated during intercourse only, not during masturbation. He too went to the urologist and got a clean bill of heath....are all of the symptoms related and what are we and the doctors missing here?
