I was diagnosed with Ocular Hypertension when I was 47, with pressures 18-22, and prescribed eye drops and have taken them since that time. I have no other optic nerve damage, and no other damage. My pressures are checked every 3months. I am learning from various web-sites which say eye drops are not prescribed unless pressures are 28 and above, if that is the case, I feel I have maybe been incuring the expense of eye drops for nothing. I went to another reputable eye Dr. and he said I didn't need eye drops, now I am really confused. Do you think I should be taking a medication????? Thank you.
