On Aviane and Skipped Period and Not Pregnant - What is Wrong?

I'm on Aviane birth control and have been for just over a full year. Last week was my period week for the month. However, I didn't bleed at all, I totally skipped my period! I went to the doctor to get bloodwork done and I am not pregnant. I have to go through a referrel system to see a GYN.

What could cause a skipped period while on birth control other than being pregnant? Could this be early menopause? I'm 19 and a newlywed (to a sailor in the Navy). I have heard of early menopause happening to women in their 20s, but I thought I was clear of that for a few more years. Eary menopause does NOT run in my family.

Any help at all to help me figure out what is wrong with me will be greatly appreciated.

Did you find anything out about this problem? I also am 19, dating a Navy Sailor, and didn't get my period on my designated week. I know the former are irrelevant but kind of cute! Did you find anything out?

THAT IS NORMAL.

The hormones in the pill can cause you to miss a period, it is not menopause, it is simply your body reacting to the hormones.
