My mother in law is 65 and keeps getting a chest infection. After having just completed her third dose of antibiotics, she had a drink from the fridge and has started coughing again. Ok so i know it is self inflicted, but what can i do to help, it's driving me insane 
She seems to have a runny nose and a bit of a temprature too, please suggest something, i'm at the end of my tether with this.
She suffers from all kinds of ailments, such as epilepsy, atheritise (sp!), some mental health issues and she is overweight and pretty imobile. What i am trying to explain is that she is on lots of medication anyway, about 15 tablets a day and i would prefer not to pump her with more drugs. Maybe a suitable home remedy?
