On the pill and bleeding a week before my period! plz help m

my boyfriend and i have regular sex...sometimes with a condom, sometimes without...i am on the pill and am worried because i am lightly bleeding and having cramps since tuesday and i am not supposed to get my period untill sunday. What could this mean...i dont think i could be pregnant because all these symptoms are also symptoms of my period, but it should not come early since i am on the pill...plz help me in any way so i can stop worrying..thank you..

You're probably only spotting. That's a side effect of being on the pill. Cramps are a side effect too. If you just started using the pill, side effects should wind down within a couple of months
