I had an open hernia repair 4 days ago and after the first 2 days or so have developed a slight bruising on the top of my scotum and at the base of the penis. The surgery was on the right side and now my right testicle is quite swollen and a little bit sore. I talked to the doctor 2 days ago and said that I had some swelling in the scrotal area and he said that that was normal, some people swell more than others, and that it can take 2-3 weeks for the swelling to subside. My worry is that at the time I didn't really realize that it was the testicle that was swollen and since I didn't mention the testicle specifically I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I'm curious about whether anyone else has had a similar experience and what their outcome was. Thanks...
