What can I do to ensure optimum weight loss after papillary thyroid surgery? I have gained approximately 40 lbs in 1 year because of a sluggish thyroid. Will hormone therapy help? Will iodine treament aid in loosing the extra pounds that have been so difficult to lose prior to surgery.

Is there a certain diet I need to adopt after surgery? Help.
